Was George Carlin correct when he said the true owners of America are the corporations and wealthy?

Who owns the corporations? Check your 401K someday, if you have one. You are most likely invested in more than a few companies through it. As a stockholder, you are a part owner of the company. Companies are owned by stockholders of all income levels. "The rich" may own more shares but they also ume more risk if the company fails.
