Symbolic images for artwork?

For my latest painting that I'm submitting into competition, I have an idea of what I want to do: A girl crying, her back facing the painting. I have her "tears" as rain drops falling into champagne gles, and I want her back to be covered in tattoos that will symbolize the things that bring her pain - I just can't think of anything really symbolic at the moment T^T HEELLLPPPP!! I need to start on the canvas tomorrow or I won't have time to finish before competition and I have NO idea what tattoos she should have.
