Where are some nice places to visit in Chicago?

My family (2 "children," one 22 years of age, the other 18), are going to be in Chicago for the majority of our not-so-long vacation. We plan on ascending the sears tower, of course, but are there any other nice attractions or places we could visit that are in or very close to Chicago?
